Eat Locally

December 10, 2019

Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, pizza or fresh-baked bread, Northpoint Shopping Centre is the place to get it. With a lineup of delectable restaurants, bakeries, meat shops and cafes, eating locally in Toowoomba is as easy as it is fulfilling. It’s not just your taste buds that benefit, either.

Why Eat Locally

Eating locally supports the Toowoomba economy. It also supports the bakers, farmers, butchers, restaurant owners and employees that live in it. Local eateries help to sustain a vibrant community, offering a diverse range of food specifically suited for local tastes. They know what their customers like to eat, since their customers are also their neighbours.

Benefits of Local Food

Local food tends to be super fresh food, especially when shop owners partner with local farmers and suppliers. The varied atmospheres and food choices of local restaurants are another big plus, with each typically boasting a different style, vibe and type of food.

Where to Eat Locally

Mi Noodles

The local family that owns Mi Noodles serves up amazing Asian food as well as a warm and wonderful welcome. Reviews across the internet rave about the friendly smiles and exceptional customer service, not to mention the hearty portions and goodness that comes with every rice or noodle dish.

Sushi Kura

Ongoing menu enhancements, weekly special winners and a personal touch are the hallmark of Sushi Kura. The shop is known for having a customer’s favourite dish ready the moment the customer walks in the door. Competitive prices are another benefit of local food, and Northpoint Shopping Centre's Sushi Kura offers all sushi plates for only $3.80 each.

Domino’s Pizza

Although Domino’s Pizza is a worldwide chain, locals are still at the helm of the franchises throughout Australia. The company is big on social responsibility, with a Give for Good program that focuses on developing sustainable best practices, assistance and support to make a difference in local communities.
